Calling all upland hunting enthusiasts and outdoor-loving ladies! The Wiregrass Women on the Wing – Quail Forever Chapter is excited to host an exclusive Hat Pin Workshop at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia, where you’ll learn how to craft your own personalized hat pin using materials from your game.
This hands-on workshop will celebrate upland hunting traditions and the artistry behind hunting hat pins, with a special nod to the Pebble Hill legacy. Participants will learn about the history of hat pins in upland hunting culture—how they’ve served as both functional accessories and symbols of tradition for generations of hunters.
Hat pins are more than just a stylish accessory—they’re a proud tradition in upland hunting, blending functionality with heritage and flair. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore their history and receive step-by-step guidance on creating your own using game and non-game feathers, as well as upland materials.
Your one-of-a-kind hat pin will include a special finishing touch with a replica Pebble Hill Plantation shooting badge created by the renowned sporting artist, Richard Bishop. Originally commissioned by Mrs. Parker Poe, these badges were given to guests who bagged a turkey during their stay at Pebble Hill.
